We love the modern Bauhaus-type square block of our non-traditional Dutch row-house in Almere, right near Amsterdam. It’s a two-bedroom bungalow with a small enclosed patio. Gerrit grew up near here and my original home is Duesseldorf, Germany, which is only a 2-hour drive away. After having lived in the U.S. and in Italy I’m quite happy to have put down roots in this all-new town in Holland during the last 12 years.

Especially wonderful about our house is the open livingroom/kitchen area offering great walls to hang the modern art from Nepal which we collect (I support young artists from Nepal via The Art of Encouraging). There’s art everywhere, even in hallways and bathrooms.

The breakfast nook in the kitchen facing towards the street is a favorite spot, as well as the oversized dining table which doubles as a workspace for her blog on modern art & modern life of Nepal and a place to enjoy relaxed dinners with friends.
