Ozan and Brian: kitchen fan

The kitchen vent fan, which is placed over the stove and out the window, helps to improve indoor environmental quality by venting out smells, fumes, and very occasionally smoke from a forgotten kitchen adventure. Although it doesn't look that pretty, it does help air to circulate throughout the house. Ozan and Brian are trying to avoid any use of air conditioning, so far they've only had to use it one day so far this summer.
